Mini Magazine Perfect for Kids - National Geo Little Kids Giveaway

Thanks to Family Review Network, the kids and I received some magazines from National Geographic.

National Geographic Little Kids is aimed at preschoolers ages 3 to 6 and their parents. Full of colorful pictures and packed with teaching tools to help parents inspire a love of learning in their children. The Association of Educational Publishers chose National Geographic Little Kids for its highest award, the Golden Lamp, in 2008 and named the magazine Periodical of the Year in 2008 and 2009. National Geographic Little Kids also won a Parents’ Choice Gold Award for 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Between the pictures and stories my kids were in love. This magazine is perfect for developing prereading and early reading skills, plus has interactive picture games and puzzles to teach logic and counting, each 24-page issue contains fresh and imaginative instruction tools. There are captivating animal stories, answers to questions on kids’ favorite topics, features on different cultures to inspire a sense of understanding about the world, plus interactive experiments to introduce simple science. Each issue also includes a set of six wild animal cards (the kids love these cards).

National Geographic Little Kids is a perfectly sized magazine for little hands, at approximately 6 1/2” by 7”. National Geographic Little Kids is available by subscription for $15 a year (six issues; international subscription cost varies) and on newsstands for $3.99 a copy. Explore online at littlekids.nationalgeographic.com.

In A Nutshell: This is the perfect first subscription for your little ones. The kids have looked through these magazines at least a dozen times in the past 3 weeks. The first day, I sat and read each one to Goddess. She sat and listened, pointing out the various pictures and asking questions. While she was in a bath, I read the first two magazines with Handsome who eventually went to sit with his Daddy for more reading when I took Goddess out of the bath. After Handsome was done, Goddess sat with Daddy to re-read the magazines. Anything that gets your kids attention like that HAS got to be good right?!
What I Can Tell You: The magazine is the perfect size. The pictures are awesome. The stories short, and fun for the youngest attention spans to reading age.  We loved the Science Experiment featured in each magazine. This is a fantastic way to promote scientific thinking. The recipes in each magazine are kid approved and kid friendly. We are going to try the Shamrock Smoothie.  We also appreciate the art lessons and have done each one from the magazines we received. So fun.

At $3.99 an issue this is the perfect gift idea. It's both fun and educational or you can get a subscription for $15.00, (that's 6 issues for the year.)

The Website is amazing too!

Thanks to Family Review Network and National Geographic Little Kids, I have the current magazine to give away to a lucky reader to check out for themselves.
